POWER

Depending on location, there are four power utility providers that serve Harris County including Georgia Power, Diverse Power, Flint Energies, and the City of West Point.

Under the Georgia Consumer Choice Program, new projects locating in Harris County with loads of 900 kW or greater, qualify for a one-time choice of a power provider.

WATER

Located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, the Harris County Water Treatment Plant is permitted to withdraw and treat up to 3 million gallons per day (MGD). In 2022, the average volume of water produced by Harris County WTP was 1.82 MGD, well below the permitted capacity.

SEWER

While Harris County Government does not operate sewer treatment facilities, there is sewer available in Hamilton, Pine Mountain, and the Northwest Harris Business Park in West Point.

AIRPORT

HARRIS COUNTY AIRPORT

The Harris County Airport (KPIM), located in Pine Mountain, is a general aviation airport consisting of a 5,001 foot long and 100 foot wide lighted asphalt runway with instrument approach, historic terminal building, and 24/7 Jet A and Avgas self-service, and full-service during opening hours.

The airport also offers aircraft maintenance services, 65 tie down locations, 29 T-hangars, two corporate hangars, and courtesy cars.
